What the till does.
A plain list of what is in the product — and what it deliberately leaves alone.
Product
Selling
- Product grid, barcode lookup and quantity entry.
- Cash, mobile-money reference, card, bank transfer and other payment records.
- Held orders, discounts and refunds, with permission checks on the sensitive parts.
- Receipts printed from the browser or through the optional Zava Hub.
- Walk-in sales only. No customer account is created at checkout.
Stock
- Stock counts, low-stock lists and stock history.
- Serial and IMEI rows that reject a duplicate sale.
- Expiry batches with FEFO picking and expired-stock blocks.
- Procurement and stock receiving.
Restaurant
- Zones and tables with open, transfer, merge, close and release.
- Courses, kitchen tickets, station routing, kitchen display with bump and recall.
- Split bills and table assignment.
Staff and money
- PIN sign-in and role permissions.
- Cash movements and report access behind separate permissions.
- Refund and discount approval where the role requires it.
- Daily sales, payment mix, product and stock reports; CSV and XLSX export.
Hosting and isolation
- One app container and one MySQL container per shop, with its own network, volumes, credentials and key.
- Per-shop database backup and restore path.
- Server-side totals, tax, stock, permissions, serials and payment references.
Deliberately not in this build: card processing, mobile-money payouts, online ordering, delivery tracking, loyalty points, prescription handling and repair jobs. ZavaPOS records payments; it does not move money.
